Pedestrian Killed in Semi-Truck Collision on Highway 180 [Fresno, CA]

Pedestrian Crash near Blackstone Avenue Left One Fatality

FRESNO, CA (June 2, 2022) – Late Sunday morning, a pedestrian was fatally struck in a semi-truck collision on Highway 180.

Police responded to the scene just after 11:00 a.m., near Blackstone Avenue, on May 29th. Per reports, a passing big-rig struck the pedestrian as they were attempting to cross the highway.

Eventually, paramedics transported the severely injured victim to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the hospital.

Additionally a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, a further investigation into the semi-truck collision on Highway 180 is underway.
