LOS ANGELES, CA (May 27, 2022) – Sunday night, a female pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run crash on 59th Street.
The incident occurred around 9:08 p.m., at the intersection of Normandie Avenue and 59th Street.
According to reports, the woman was crossing Normandie Avenue within a marked crosswalk when a northbound vehicle struck her.
Upon impact, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene northbound, without rendering aid to the severely injured pedestrian. Medical personnel pronounced the female pedestrian dead at the scene.
