43-Year-Old Man Airlifted after Pedestrian Accident near 5th Avenue
JAMESTOWN, CA (May 26, 2022) – Thursday morning, Judy Johnson struck Timothy Allen Sheffield in a pedestrian crash on Highway 108.
Authorities responded to the scene around 10:00 a.m., near the intersection of 5th Avenue and Highway 108
According to reports, 43-year-old Sheffield was standing on the eastbound lane’s shoulder, attempting to cross. There, a 2016 Ford Focus made a left turn onto the road and struck Sheffield.
Upon impact, Sheffield sustained serious injuries. Responding medics airlifted him to Memorial Medical Center for further treatment. Meanwhile, the Ford driver, 73-year-old Johnson, of Jamestown, remained unharmed.
Officers confirmed that no charges were made against Johnson. Following investigations, crews ruled out drugs/alcohol as potential factors.
