Traffic Accident on State Route 4 Left One Fatality

ANTIOCH, CA (May 25, 2022) – Sunday evening, a DUI crash on State Route 4 left one dead and several injured, police said.

On May 8th, a Chrysler PT Cruiser lost control and crashed along the side of the roadway, leaving five occupants injured on State Route 4.

According to authorities, the vehicles occupants included; a 19-year-old man who sustained minor injuries, two children and a 42-year-old woman who received major injures, and a 21-year-old man who was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Furthermore, police arrested the driver who they suspected were driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision.

At this time, officials have not released their identities or their current conditions. Additionally, the surrounding area closed for a short time to allow for cleanup.

However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
