2 Injured in Semi-Truck Collision on Kimberlina Road [Wasco, CA]

Two Victims Hurt in Big-Rig Accident near Root Avenue

WASCO, CA (May 25, 2022) – At least two people sustained injuries early Friday morning, in a semi-truck collision on Kimberlina Road.

The accident took place along Kimberlina Road between Root Avenue and Poplar Avenue around 5:58 a.m. on May 20th.

According to reports, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, the collision involved a white semi-truck and a red Ford Explorer.

Responding paramedics arrived and discovered that the Ford driver had suffered major injuries, while the truck driver had minor injuries.

Emergency crews then transported the Ford driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment. However, CHP officials have not released the names of those involved at this time.

The semi-truck also overturned on its side as a result of the collision. It was transporting 7,200 gallons of red dye diesel, which leaked onto the roadway.

California Highway Patrol officers have no further information but an active investigation is underway.
