One Dead, One Hospitalized after Auto Accident on Central Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (May 18, 2022) – Saturday, a crash on Clovis Avenue claimed the life of Destiny Baker and injured Ramon Vasquez.
The accident happened on Clovis and Central Avenue. Officers responded to the incident around 5:30 a.m.
According to the California Highway Patrol, 22-year-old Baker was driving a sedan the wrong way on Clovis.
As a result, she collided with a compact SUV, driven by 32-year-old Vasquez, of Visalia. Investigators said the two vehicles collided head-on and overturned, coming to rest on Clovis Avenue.
Due to the impact of the crash, Baker succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Meanwhile, Vasquez was hospitalized with significant injuries.
Fresno County officials continue to investigate the deadly crash at this time.
