Rider Fatally Struck in Motorcycle Collision near 605 Freeway

SANTA FE SPRINGS, CA (May 17, 2022)  39-year-old Luis Corona died in a motorcycle accident on the 5 Freeway, Tuesday afternoon.

The incident happened around 4:05 p.m., near the 605 Freeway.

For reasons unknown, a sedan and motorcycle collided in the area.

Medical personnel declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. Santa Fe officers later identified the deceased victim as 39-year-old Luis Corona.

Furthermore, both directions of the street were temporarily closed down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

California Highway Patrol officers did not release any additional information. However, the fatal accident remains under investigation.
