Sierra Arellanes Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Pacific Coast Highway [Torrance, CA]
Kevin Torres-Valencia Arrested after Traffic Crash on Calle Mayor
TORRANCE, CA (May 16, 2022) – Thursday morning, a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway left Sierra Arellanes killed.
The accident happened around 1:00 a.m., at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Calle Mayor.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian and fled the scene. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 32-year-old Arellanes dead at the scene.
Authorities later arrested 20-year-old Kevin Torres-Valeria, of Wilmington under suspicion of felony hit-and-run.
Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, Torrance officials continue to investigate the fatal incident.
