Woman Dies in Big-Rig Collision on Avenal Cutoff Road [Kings County, CA]
Female Driver Fatally Struck in Semi-Truck Accident near 25th Avenue
KINGS COUNTY, CA (May 12, 2022) – Tuesday, one unidentified woman was pronounced dead after a big-rig collision on Avenal Cutoff Road.
The crash happened the night of May 3rd, near 25th Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to officials, a northbound big-rig crashed into the woman’s Lexus when she tried to make a three-point turn. The crash sent the Lexus forward into another semi-truck that was stopped in the southbound lane.
Responding medical crews airlifted the woman to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
At this time, authorities have not released the identity of the deceased victim. Meanwhile, California Highway Patrol said both big rig drivers escaped the accident with no injuries.
Kings County Officials are still currently investigating the fatal crash and will release updates once available.
