42-Year-Old Man Dead after Pedestrian Crash near Hemlock Avenue
MORENO VALLEY, CA (May 12, 2022) – Early Monday morning, 42-year-old Mario Zavala was killed in a hit-and-run on Pigeon Pass Road.
The crash occurred near Hemlock Avenue around 12:40 a.m. Emergency crews arrived to scene shortly after.
Authorities immediately located Zavala down on the roadway upon arrival. Upon evaluating his injuries, investigators said a driver most likely struck Zavala and fled the scene without rendering aid or calling for help. 42-year-old Zavala was pronounced dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, officers continue their search for the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle. At this time, an active investigation into the deadly crash is still currently underway.
