50-Year-Old Man Dies in Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 80

SPARKS, NV (May 12, 2022) – Early Saturday night, David Salazar died in a motorcycle crash on Vista Boulevard.

The incident occurred around 5:03 p.m., near the intersection of Interstate 80 and Vista Boulevard.

Per reports, Salazar was riding a red 2019 Harley Davidson motorcycle west on I-80. Meanwhile, a white 2017 Kenworth tractor with two trailers was also heading west in the No.2 lane.

For reasons unknown, Salazar veered into the tractor’s lane and struck the right side of the second of the two trailers. The impact caused Salazar to lose control of the motorcycle before it overturned and ejected him onto the road.

Paramedics arrived and transported Salazar to a local hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, officials are conducting an active investigation to determine further information.
