2-Year-Old Pronounced Dead after Traffic Accident near Rabon Valley Road
STOCKTON, CA (May 10, 2022) – Wednesday morning, David Souza was involved in an auto collision on Still Road, that killed a young child.
The accident happened around 9:00 a.m., in a private gravel driveway off Still Road and Rabon Valley Road.
According to reports, a small child was struck by a vehicle under unknown circumstances. Consequently, the family of the child rushed the victim to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital before officers arrived at the scene.
Officers say the 2-year-old child later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Although, authorities withheld the name of the child.
Meanwhile, California Highway Patrol identified the driver as the child’s grandfather, 68-year-old Souza. Police had not made any charges against the driver, however, they continue to investigate the collision.
Furthermore, Stockton Police ruled out alcohol or drugs as potential factors, and will release further information once available.
