COMPTON, CA (May 6, 2022) – A bicycle crash on Atlantic Boulevard left one woman injured Sunday evening, police said.

The accident happened at the intersection of Atlantic and Alondra boulevards around 10:45 p.m.

According to reports, a street race was taking place when a car hit a bicyclist.

Meanwhile, the vehicle that struck the victim fled the scene.

Furthermore, authorities immediately responded to the scene upon receiving the report about the crash.

Upon arrival, paramedics discovered the victim with significant injuries. Medics then transported the woman to Long Beach Memorial Medical Center for further treatment of her injuries.
