56-Year-Old Motorcyclist Fatally Struck in Deadly Accident on Grand Avenue
LAKE ELSINORE, CA (May 3, 2022) – Saturday evening, a motorcycle crash on Ortega Highway left 56-year-old James Jones dead.
According to police, officers received reports of the incident around 6:46 p.m., just west of Grand Avenue.
Investigators revealed that Jones was riding his 2021 BMW K1600 GTL motorcycle at an undetermined speed on eastbound State Route 74. For reasons unknown, the motorcycle drifted to the right, off the eastbound traffic lane.
There, the motorcycle struck an embankment, throwing Jones from the motorcycle into westbound traffic lanes.
Furthermore, authorities immediately responded to the scene upon receiving the report about the crash. Upon arrival, paramedics discovered the victim with significant injuries.
First responders arrived and declared 56-year-old Jones dead at the scene, due to the extent of his condition.
Currently, further circumstances surrounding the deadly crash remain unclear. Lake Elsinore Officials continue to investigate the fatal motorcycle crash along Ortega Highway at this time.
