Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Crash on Pacific Coast Highway
LONG BEACH, CA (April 28, 2022) – One woman was pronounced dead Thursday evening, after a hit-and-run on Harbor Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene around 11:35 p.m., in the area of Pacific Coast Highway and Harbor Avenue after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
For reasons unknown, the driver of a westbound 2002 Toyota Avalon hit the woman inside the marked crosswalk in the intersection.
Upon arrival, officers located the unconscious pedestrian lying in the roadway with critical injuries.
Eventually, the Long Beach Fire Department arrived and declared the woman dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.
Moreover, witnesses claimed that the suspect continued northbound on Santa Fe Avenue, where the officers found it parked and unoccupied.
