Traffic Collision along Market Street Left One Woman with Injuries
SAN DIEGO, CA (April 27, 2022) – Thursday evening, an unidentified woman suffered a leg fracture after an accident on Market Street.
The crash happened along the 500 block of Market Street, around 9:10 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
According to reports, the female victim was riding in an Uber when the driver stopped in the westbound No. 2 lane at 500 Market Street. The Uber driver pulled in front of a Chevrolet Suburban parked on the north curb.
There, the Chevy driver pulled out from the curb and struck the woman as she was exiting the right rear door of her Uber.
As a result of the collision, the woman suffered a leg fracture and was taken to a nearby hospital for further examination.
Following preliminary investigations, officers did not suspect DUI to be a factor. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
