Daryl Bagwell Killed in DUI Hit-and-Run on Rose Avenue [Selma, CA]
DUI Driver Left One Fatality after Hit-and-Run near Highland Avenue
SELMA, CA (April 26, 2022) – A DUI hit-and-run along Rose Avenue claimed the life of 58-year-old Daryl Bagwell last Friday night.
According to the CHP, the crash happened around 10:30 pm on Rose and Highland Avenues.
Investigators said a Nissan Versa on Rose Avenue struck a pedestrian walking near the westbound lane.
Unfortunately, first responders declared Barwell dead at the scene, however, the involved driver fled the scene and did not render aid to the victim.
Later on, authorities located the suspect and identified them as 27-year-old Pedro Epigmeneo Cortez of Selma, in his home under the influence of alcohol.
Ultimately, deputies booked him into Fresno County Jail on felony DUI charges.
