Julian Barrajas Injured in Motorcycle Crash on South Avenue [Corning, CA]
19-Year-Old Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Collision near Woodson Avenue
CORNING, CA (April 13, 2022) – Saturday night, Julian Barrajas was hospitalized following a motorcycle crash along South Avenue.
The incident happened around 9:51 p.m., when 37-year-old Devin Conrad Woodard driving a GMC Terain, was involved in a police pursuit.
For reasons under investigation, Woodard collided with Barrajas, who was riding his motorcycle in the area, ejecting him onto the roadway.
Medical personnel located the severely injured motorcyclist and airlifted him to Enloe Medical Center for treatment of multiple broken bones.
Furthermore, authorities arrested Woodard on a number of charges including evading a peace officer and vehicle theft.
Officers shut down the surrounding area for several hours to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, the California Highway Patrol has no other information regarding the collision or the current condition of the rider.
Meanwhile, Corning Police continue to investigate the motorcycle crash along South Avenue and will release updates once available.
