2 Women Pronounced Dead after Auto Collision near Arizona-New Mexico Border

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (April 12, 2022) – Late Saturday night, Kelli Ingle and Chelsea Valladares were killed in a car crash on Interstate 40.

Around 11:00 p.m., their eastbound vehicle struck the guard rail near the Arizona-New Mexico border. The car then came to a stop in the middle of the road, where a semi-truck hit the vehicle.

Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced 21-year-old Valladares dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics airlifted 22-year-old Ingle to Gallup Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.

According to the family of Ingle, she and Valladares were seniors at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix and would travel frequently to New Mexico. At the time of the crash, the two were on their way to visit Ingle’s family.

In addition, there has been no update regarding the current condition of the semi-truck driver.
