52-Year-Old Rider Killed in Motorcycle Crash near Barrett Avenue

FRESNO, CA (April 7, 2022) – Early Sunday evening, Matthew Martinez lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Fowler Avenue.

The crash occurred at around 6:00 p.m., along Fowler Avenue, just north of Barrett Avenue on April 3rd.

For reasons unknown, Martinez lost control of his motorcycle as he was riding along the road. The impact flipped the motorcycle onto the road’s shoulder, ejecting Martinez onto the roadway.

Eventually, responding officers pronounced Martinez dead at the scene due to the extent of his injuries.

Officials are currently awaiting the toxicology results to identify the official cause of the crash.

Meanwhile, an active investigation is underway. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
