52-Year-Old Victim Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident near Sepulveda Pass
SHERMAN OAKS, CA (April 7, 2022) – Thursday morning, 52-year-old Andrea Ortega was fatally struck in a deadly collision on 101 Freeway.
The accident happened on 101 Freeway near the Sepulveda Pass around 4:16 a.m. Authorities responded to the south Ventura (101) Freeway and the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway exchange shortly after.
There, officers located the severely injured woman, Ortega, down on the roadway. Due to the extent of her condition, crews pronounced Ortega dead at the scene.
Moreover, the involved driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
