Driver Fatally Struck in Deadly DUI Collision near Cheyenne Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 31, 2022) – Tuesday, Steven Joseph Ehresman died and Pedro Martinez Ocampo was arrested after a Decatur Boulevard crash.
Police responded to the scene around 8:00 p.m., near Cheyenne Boulevard. Per reports, the driver of a northbound Dodge pickup-truck was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Eventually, the Dodge driver slammed into a sedan that was crossing on Rancho Rea Parkway. Medical personnel pronounced the male driver of the sedan in his 60s dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck in his 30’s, drove away from the scene. However, police were able to locate him shortly after. Afterwards, he was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
After his discharge from the hospital, officers booked and charged him for DUI resulting in death. At this time, the investigation is still currently underway.
