51-Year-Old Driver Dead after Semi-Truck Accident near Challenger Drive
TEHACHAPI, CA (March 31, 2022) – Late Tuesday morning, Gabino Perez Martinez was killed in a big-rig crash on Highway 58.
According to California Highway Patrol, the incident happened just after 11:00 a.m., when the driver hit the center median.
Due to the impact of the collision, medics pronounced 51-year-old Martinez of San Bernardino, dead at the scene.
The surrounding area on Highway 58 was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Although, the road has since reopened.
