Woman Dies in Pedestrian Accident near Rosecrans Street [San Diego, CA]
Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Accident near Hancock Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 29, 2022) – Sunday evening, a woman was pronounced dead after a pedestrian accident near Rosecrans Street.
The crash happened around 10:00 p.m., in the area of Midway District near Rosecrans and Hancock Street.
California Highway Patrol officers said the driver of a passing vehicle hit the woman as crossed the street. The vehicle was driven by a 53-year-old unidentified man.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, responding officials declared the unnamed 61-year-old woman dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver along with some witnesses stayed and cooperated with the authorities.
At this time, an active investigation is still underway. San Diego police will release additional information once it becomes available.
