Man Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash near James Road
FRESNO, CA (March 29, 2022) – Saturday night, an unidentified man lost his life following a pedestrian collision on Highway 180.
The incident occurred on the westbound lanes of the highway near James Road around 10:30 p.m.
Initial reports stated that a man walked directly into the path of an oncoming Hyundai. The Hyundai’s driver was unable to stop in time and struck the man.
Responding officers arrived and pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Although, his name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Following preliminary investigations, crews did not suspect that DUI was a factor. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
Fresno police will release further information as it becomes available.
