Pedestrian Killed in Fatal Accident on Stone Avenue
TUCSON, AZ (March 25, 2022) – Wednesday evening, one unidentified pedestrian was fatally struck in a deadly collision on Grant Road.
The incident occurred around 9:45 p.m., on March 16. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
According to reports, the driver of a vehicle hit a pedestrian near the intersection of East Grant Road and North Stone Avenue.
At this time, the events leading up to the crash remain unclear. However, reports indicate that the pedestrian was pronounced dead due to the extent of their condition.
The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
Following preliminary investigations, officers believe that impairment may have played a factor in the crash. Although, An active investigation to determine further details is still underway.
