Vehicle Accident on Travel Park Circle Left One Fatality
GILROY, CA (March 24, 2022) – On Monday evening, an unidentified driver tragically died in a semi-truck collision on Monterey Road.
The accident took place around 8:30 p.m. along Monterey Road and Travel Park Circle intersection.
Furthermore, Gilroy police officers responded to a report of a semi-truck collision with a vehicle.
Moreover, the impact caused fatal injuries to the driver of a passenger vehicle who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Additionally, the collision also destroyed the semi-truck’s fuel tack, causing diesel fuel to flood the road.
Officials closed the road until 4:30 a.m. for the removal of vehicles and the cleanup of hazardous materials.
Gilroy Police continue to investigate the fatal crash and will release updates once available.
