Man Killed in Rollover Crash on Highway 41 [Madera County, CA]

24-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after 2-Vehicle Collision near Road 406

MADERA COUNTY, CA (March 22, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a 24-year-old Fresno man was killed in a fatal rollover crash on Highway 41.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just after 12:30 p.m. on  March 14th, near Road 406.

Based on their initial investigation, police said the man was driving southbound on Highway 41 in a green Toyota Tacoma when his truck began drifting into the right shoulder. The driver then over-corrected, causing his vehicle to overturn onto its side.

As the Toyota continued sliding on the roadway, it eventually crashed head-on with a northbound vehicle.

The male driver of the Tacoma, whose identity was being withheld, died at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the second vehicle was not injured.

Authorities closed both lanes of Highway 41 between Road 200 and Road 208 for several hours for cleanup and investigation matters. More information will be updated as it becomes available to the public.
