Woman Killed in Deadly Accident on Parthenia Street
NORTH HILLS, CA (March 11, 2022) – Wednesday, Manuel Sandoval was arrested after running a red light on Woodley Avenue and killing a woman.
According to police, the crash happened around 7:00 p.m., when a 1999 tan Chevrolet truck traveled south at a high rate of speed on Woodley Avenue.
The driver ran past a red light and crashed into a white Nissan sedan. Investigators say the Nissan was turning left onto westbound Parthenia Street when the collision occurred.
Eventually, the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene and transported the driver of the Nissan to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. Authorities only identified her as a woman in her 30s.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck also received injuries and remained at the hospital while in police custody. Later on, North Hills officials identified him as 26-year-old Manuel Sandoval of Canoga Park.
At this time, Sandoval is expected to be booked on suspicion of murder once he is medically cleared.
