1 Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Crash near Hopyard Road
DUBLIN, CA (March 8, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a semi-truck accident on Interstate 580, Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 8:00 a.m., in the westbound lanes near Hopyard Road along BART tracks.
Authorities claimed that the collision involved a big-rig truck and a motorcycle. In addition, medics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. However, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear.
At this time, crews have not yet released the identities of those involved. Moreover, traffic was backed up in the area while crews worked on the scene. Although, the road has since reopened to the public.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol is working to identify further circumstances surrounding the deadly accident on Interstate 580.
