16-Year-Old Victim Dies in Bicycle Collision on Galindo Road
CONCORD, CA (March 7, 2022) – A bicycle crash on Clayton Street claimed the life of Jose Castillo Friday afternoon, authorities said.
According to reports, the incident happened around 3:30 p.m., at the intersection of Clayton Street and Galindo Road.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a teen was riding a bicycle from Mount Diablo High School when the crash happened.
In addition, a video showed multiple vehicles involved in the collision, including a tree trimming truck.
Eventually, the authorities identified the deceased teen riding a bicycle as 16-year-old Jose Castillo, a recent immigrant from El Salvador. Concord Officials also arrested one driver for vehicular manslaughter.
At this time, authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly bicycle accident.
