Cassandra Valerie Leal Arrested after Crash on Maroney Avenue [Las Vegas, NV]
Suspected DUI Collision on Sahara Avenue Left Several Injured
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 24, 2022) – On Sunday, authorities arrested Cassandra Valerie Leal after a suspected DUI crash on Maroney Avenue.
Officers responded to the intersection of East Sahara and Maryland Parkway around 6:34 p.m.
Furthermore, authorities said a Toyota Scion collided with a Dodge Dart for reasons unknown.
Consequently, the Scion fled east on Sahara striking the side of the Dodge, which was attempting a left turn on Sahara.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported both drivers and a passenger from the Dodge to a local hospital. Moreover, the two from the Dodge sustained critical injuries.
The driver of the Scion identified as 30-year-old Leal showed signs of impairment, police said. She was arrested on two counts of reckless driving and DUI resulting in substantial harm.
