Joseph Hendrix Arrested after Fatal Vehicle Collision on 10th Street
OROVILLE, CA (February 23, 2022) – A crash on Oro-Dam Boulevard took the life of Maria Barajas-Medina Wednesday afternoon.
According to the preliminary investigation, the crash happened on Oro-Dam Boulevard and 10th Street.
Furthermore, authorities said, 57-year-old Joseph Hendrix was driving at a high speed on Oro-Dam Boulevard West and 10th Street when he crashed into a car driven by Barajas-Medina.
Consequently the victim, Medina, was killed in the impact of the collision.
Moreover, the police believed that Hendrix drove under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
As a result, the police arrested Hendrix with several charges including vehicular manslaughter.
Both directions of the roadway were closed down for an unknown amount of time to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
An active investigation is currently ongoing.
