Multiple Dead after Driver Slams into Tree on H Street in Chula Vista

CHULA VISTA, CA (February 17, 2022) – A solo-car crash on H Street left Ronnie Jacobs and two others dead, late Saturday afternoon.

According to reports, the collision happened around 4:00 p.m., at the 500 block of East H Street. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Investigators believe that the driver of a westbound white Nissan Sentra lost control for unknown reasons and crashed into a nearby tree.

The driver, identified as 27-year-old Marcellous D. Cisneros died at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported Rashad Claybion Wallace and Jacobs to a hospital where they eventually succumbed to their injuries.

The fourth occupant of the vehicle remained in the hospital in critical condition. In addition, two dogs inside the vehicle died at the scene.

At this time, Chula Vista Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the crash.
