Man Killed, Woman Arrested after Fiery Head-On Accident near Clovis Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (February 10, 2022) – Sunday night, police arrested Lacey Cecenthia Vickers after a DUI crash on Village Drive.
According to reports, the collision happened around 11:06 p.m., in the area of Village Drive and Clovis Street.
Per police records, Vickers was traveling north in a Jeep on Village Drive while a man was heading south in a Cadillac sedan. For reasons still under investigation, the two vehicles collided head-0n.
Emergency crews responded to the scene within 3 minutes of receiving dispatch calls. Upon arrival, authorities immediately located the Jeep fully engulfed in flames.
Crews had to shatter the driver’s side window and extricate 30-year-old Vickers, of Barstow from her vehicle. She sustained minor injuries and was taken to a nearby trauma center.
However, medics declared the 55-year-old Victorville man dead at the scene. At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains unavailable.
Upon her release from the trauma center, Vickers will face charges for DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter and will be booked at the West Valley Detention Center.
