Xueqi Li Dies in Bicycle Accident on Sunflower Avenue [Azusa, CA]
Bicyclist Killed, Motorcycle Officer Injured in Collision on Cienega Avenue
AZUSA, CA (February 8, 2022) – A bicycle accident on Sunflower Avenue claimed the life of Xueqi Li was killed Monday evening.
According to police, the crash happened around 9:00 p.m. near Cienega Avenue.
Furthermore, reports indicate that an off-duty officer was riding his motorcycle east on Cienega when he struck Li.
Consequently, medics transported both Li and the 63-year-old officer to Pomona Valley Medical Center. Due to the extent of his condition, crews later pronounced 67-year-old Li dead.
Meanwhile, the officer was said to be in a stable condition at the hospital. Although, authorities have not yet released his name or place of residency.
At this time, Azusa Officials are still currently working to investigate the circumstances surrounding the deadly accident.
