19-Year-Old Dead after Fatal Street Racing Collision on Akers Road
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 8, 2022) – Bianca Danielle Flores was killed Wednesday evening, in a street racing crash on Panama Lane.
Officers responded to the incident around 6:18 p.m., in the 4100 block of Panama Lane near Akers Road.
According to the preliminary investigation, a Ford Mustang driver was involved in an illegal street race with a motorcycle. The Ford driver crossed into oncoming traffic, striking a vehicle head-on resulting to a fiery crash.
Upon arrival, officers located 19-year-old Flores who died at the scene after suffering from major injuries. Meanwhile, paramedics transported her adult female passenger to a local hospital with moderate injuries.
In addition, medics also took another woman to a hospital with minor injuries. They also transported the male Ford Mustang driver for moderate injuries.
Bakersfield officials later arrested the Mustang driver, 35-year-old Iqbal Singh for vehicular manslaughter and similar charges.
