35-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed in Collision near Taylor Road

PERRIS, CA (February 8, 2022)Peter McCluney died in a Wednesday evening crash after getting struck by a truck on Highway 74 near Taylor Road, authorities said.

According to California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred about 6:40 p.m. on February 2nd.

CHP said a Ford-250 was driving northbound in the No. 1 lane of Highway 74 when the driver saw a pedestrian, later identified as 35-year-old McCluney, walking southbound in the northbound lane.

The driver reportedly applied his brakes but the right front of the vehicle struck McCluney.

At this time, CHP has yet to release further information about this collision.
