Angel Berumen Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Niles Street [Bakersfield, CA]
16-Year Old Skateboarder Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision on Niles Street
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 7, 2022) – Early Tuesday morning Angel Berumen, was killed in a pedestrian crash on Niles Stret.
California Highway Patrol says the crash happened between 5:45 and 6:38 a.m., as the pedestrian crossed Niles Street at Brentwood.
Furthermore, a motorist immediately called 911 after seeing Berumen lying in the center median. Paramedics transported the victim to Kern Medical and eventually airlifted the victim to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera.
Jasmine Burleson, Angel’s mother, said Angel was riding a skateboard when the incident happened. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, he was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, officers said the make and model of the vehicle that hit the Berumen is still unknown.
