68-Year-Old Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision on Vista Del Mar

VENTURA, CA (January 24, 2022) – Friday morning, a 68-year-old pedestrian was fatally struck in a hit-and-run on Harbor Boulevard.

The accident took place on Harbor Boulevard, between Sanjon Road and Vista Del Mar at about 5:05 a.m.

Officers say a witness called 911 to report the accident. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found an unconscious man laying in the roadway.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, paramedics later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Although, the identity of the pedestrian remains unavailable, pending notification of the family.

As of this time, the authorities are still locating the vehicle involved in the hit-and-run. Circumstances surrounding the fatal incident are still under active investigation.
