Robert Gaddini Killed in Solo-Car Collision on Interstate 80 [Elko, NV]
22-Year-Old Driver Ejected and Killed in Solo-Vehicle Crash near Mile Marker 321
ELKO, NV (January 20, 2022) – Wednesday afternoon, 22-year-old Robert Gaddini was killed in a solo-car collision on Interstate 80.
The incident happened around 5:45 p.m., in the westbound lanes of the highway near mile marker 321.
Furthermore, as per reports, the driver of a green-colored 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV was heading east on Interstate 80.
For reasons unknown, the vehicle rotated left before striking the center dirt median and overturning onto its roof.
Moreover, the impact ejected Gaddini from his Jeep as it overturned. A passing vehicle then struck Gaddini as he was lying in the road.
Authorities located the overturned vehicle in the westbound lanes where he was subsequently hit by a motorcycle.
Eventually, Gaddini passed away after sustaining fatal injuries. Per the investigation, there were no other passengers inside the vehicle.
No other details were disclosed. However, an active investigation is still currently underway.
