20-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Collision near Trumble Road
MENIFEE, CA (January 19, 2022) – A pedestrian crash on Menifee claimed the life of Carla Luxhilario Tuesday evening.
The incident occurred around 9:13 p.m., on the westbound lanes of Highway 74, just west of Trumble Road.
Per reports, Luxhilario attempted to cross the highway in an area posted as “No Pedestrian Crossing” on an unmarked crosswalk. There, the driver of a sedan struck the female pedestrian while traveling at an unknown rate of speed.
Upon impact, the involved driver immediately stopped and contacted 911 for help. Eventually, California Highway Patrol officers arrived at the scene and pronounced the pedestrian dead due to the extent of her condition.
The coroner’s office later identified the female victim as 20-year-old Carla Luxhilario.
