Man Dies, 3 Injured Three-Car Accident on Bancroft Avenue [Oakland, CA]
Male Victim Killed in Auto Collision near Church Street in Oakland
OAKLAND, CA (January 11, 2022) – Friday afternoon, one man died, and three were hurt in a three-car accident on Bancroft Avenue.
The Oakland Fire Department said the collision occurred around 4:45 p.m., near Church Street.
Per reports, one driver was traveling westbound on Bancroft Avenue at a high rate of speed. He then ran the red light at Church Street and collided with another vehicle.
Amidst the chaos, a third vehicle became involved. Paramedics arrived and transported one driver and two passengers for further treatment.
Meanwhile, medical personnel also transported the driver who ran the red light to the hospital. Police later arrested him after locating a gun inside his vehicle.
At this time, the identities of those involved in the crash have not been disclosed.
