1 Killed, 1 Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 108 [Sonora, CA]
1 Dead after Fatal Two-Car Accident near La Grange Road
SONORA, CA (January 11, 2022) – Saturday evening, one person was killed and another was injured in a head-on collision on Highway 108.
Officials responded to the highway near La Grange Road between Jamestown and Oakdale after receiving multiple dispatch calls.
Upon arrival, crews located two vehicles involved with significant damage. However, the events leading up to the accident remain unclear.
Officials eventually shut down both lanes on Highway 108 and began to extricate two people from their vehicles using Jaws of Life.
Despite life-saving efforts, one of the victims died at the scene while paramedics transported the other to a valley trauma center.
At this time, Sonora Officials continue to investigate the Highway 108 head-on crash.
