Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run on Highway 273 [Shasta County, CA]
Hit-And-Run Crash on Highway 237 Left One Fatality
SHASTA COUNTY, CA (January 6, 2022) – Police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Highway 273 that left one woman killed Sunday evening.
The incident occurred around 8:55 p.m., in the second lane of northbound Highway 237.
According to California Highway Patrol, a white 2017 Honda Accord struck the woman at Jessie Road at an unknown speed. After the impact, the driver of the Accord parked the vehicle on the Banigan Road and fled the scene before the police arrived.
At this time, Shasta County officials are still currently working to identify the hit-and-run suspect.
Meanwhile, authorities only identified the deceased victim as a 37-year-old woman from Douglas City.
