Alicia Jones Arrested after Hit-and-Run Crash on Charleston Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]
Officer Injured in Hit-and-Run Collision near Rainbow Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (December 30, 2021) – Tuesday afternoon, 22-year-old Alicia Jones was arrested after a hit-and-run crash on Charleston Boulevard.
Authorities said the crash occurred around 1:22 p.m., at the east of Rainbow Boulevard.
According to the investigation, Jones was driving a Dodge Neon westbound on Charleston Boulevard. As she attempted to make a left turn onto Redwood, Jones failed to give the right of way to an officer on a motorcycle.
Per reports, authorities identified the officer as V. Hinostrosa. Jones struck the officer as they were heading eastbound on Charleston Boulevard.
Upon impact, Jones fled the scene and drove back to her apartment where she was later arrested.
Hinostrosa suffered a broken left tibula and fibula, and a broken left collarbone. She also broke her foot and multiple toes.
In addition, officers say that Jones did not have a valid license, nor insurance at the time. Police booked her into the Clark County Detention Center with a felony charge of failure to stop at the scene of a accident, and multiple misdemeanor charges.
Meanwhile, the collision remains under investigation.
