Dustin Porter Arrested after Fatal DUI Collision on Eastern Avenue [Las Vegas, NV]

1 Killed, 1 Hospitalized after Deadly DUI Accident near Bluegrass Lane

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 21, 2021) – Saturday night, 30-year-old Dustin Porter was arrested after a DUI collision on Eastern Avenue.

Porter was traveling westbound on Bluegrass Lane when he failed to stop at the stop sign on Eastern Avenue. As a result, he struck a northbound Lexus.

Shortly after, two more vehicles became involved. Emergency crews received reports of the crash around 7:00 p.m.

Medics arrived and transported the Lexus driver to a nearby hospital, where they later died. Meanwhile, the driver of one of the other involved vehicles was taken to a hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

As per the police, Porter had “watery and shiny eyes,” smelled of an “intoxicating beverage,” and had to lean on the front of the patrol car to keep his balance.

Moreover, Porter told investigators that he could not recall what happened while driving and denied drinking any consumption of alcohol. Porter failed a field sobriety test, according to police.

Porter currently faces a felony charge of DUI resulting in death as well as a misdemeanor charge of failing to obey a stop sign at a controlled junction.
