Woman and Unborn Baby Killed in DUI Collision on Arizona Avenue
CHANDLER, AZ (December 16, 2021) – Sunday morning, Beatrice Gonzalez and her unborn child died in a DUI crash on Ocotillo Road.
According to authorities, the crash took place at the intersection of Ocotillo Road and Arizona Avenue. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.
As per investigation, 33-year-old Roland Enos was driving south on Arizona Avenue when suddenly he rear-ended another car.
Inside the vehicle were Beatrice Gonzales and her unborn child. Due to the impact of the collision, Gonzalez and her fetus were pronounced dead.
Furthermore, one other person sustained injuries. However, authorities have not released their identity.
Meanwhile, Enos remained uninjured. Although, his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was at .282, three times more than the legal limit.
Eventually, authorities transported Enos into custody after being released from the hospital. They jailed him with two charges of manslaughter, one case of severe assault, and two counts of endangerment.
