Woman Ejected and Killed in Rear-End Collision near Golden State Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (December 14, 2021) – A deadly two-car crash on Highway 178 claimed the life of Emily Dianne Hendricks, Wednesday.
The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m., just west of the split to Golden State Avenue. Crews responded to the scene shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
According to reports, Hendricks was driving a 2005 Infiniti sedan at a high rate of speed and rear-ended a 2019 Toyota Tundra. As a result, the impact pushed the Toyota left before crashing into the center median.
Meanwhile, the Infiniti spun out of control and struck the center median wall, ejecting the driver from her vehicle. Investigators say Hendricks was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
Eventually, officials arrived at the scene and declared 22-year-old Emily Dianne Hendricks dead at the scene.
