Deputy Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Lake Boulevard [Redding, CA]
Three-Vehicle Crash on Lake Boulevard Left Shasta County Deputy Hurt
REDDING, CA (December 14, 2021) – A multi-vehicle crash on Lake Boulevard injured a Shasta County deputy Thursday morning.
Officers responded to the incident around 6:56 a.m. on Lake Boulevard at Hilltop Drive.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel located an SCSO Chevy Tahoe on a concrete divider with significant damage.
In addition, they also found two other vehicles involved identified as a 2003 and a 2018 Ford F150 in a nearby parking lot.
Later on, the investigators said that the ‘18 F150 abruptly turned left and crossed over a raised concrete center divider.
However, the eastbound ‘03 F150 failed to avoid hitting the truck and struck its rear.
Afterwards, the 2003 Ford crossed a raised concrete divider and resumed westbound crashing into the front of the SCSO deputy’s Tahoe.
According to the first responders, they transported the deputy to a local hospital for medical evaluation.
At this time, Redding Officials are working to identify the circumstances surrounding the multi-vehicle crash.
